Doha: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani held talks on Sunday with President of the Republic of Rwanda, Paul Kagame, at the Amiri Diwan, focusing on bilateral relations and ways to further strengthen cooperation between the two friendly countries.
At the outset of the meeting, HH the Amir welcomed the Rwandan President and praised the strong and growing ties between the State of Qatar and Rwanda across various sectors, highlighting their shared commitment to advancing mutual interests.
For his part, President Kagame expressed his gratitude to HH the Amir for the warm reception and generous hospitality, reaffirming Rwanda’s keenness to deepen and expand its friendly relations with Qatar in multiple fields.
The discussions also covered the latest regional and international developments, as well as efforts to promote international peace and security.
The meeting was attended by a number of Their Excellencies ministers and senior officials from both sides, along with members of the accompanying Rwandan delegation.
