Istanbul: Investment Promotion Agency Qatar (Invest Qatar) has concluded a four-day promotional tour in Istanbul, Türkiye, aimed at showcasing investment opportunities across key sectors in Qatar and strengthening engagement with Turkish investors and business leaders.
In a statement issued Monday, Invest Qatar said the delegation held a series of high-level meetings with officials from major Turkish companies, highlighting Qatar’s competitive investment landscape and strategic advantages as a regional business hub.
The programme featured several investor-focused events organized in collaboration with key partners, including an investor dialogue with the Turkish Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK), a business banquet hosted in cooperation with the Turkish Industry and Business Association (TUSIAD), and a specialized roundtable on the electronic gaming sector that brought together industry stakeholders and experts.
The tour also included executive discussions, field visits, and bilateral meetings focused on smart manufacturing, digital technologies, gaming technology, and energy. These engagements highlighted Qatar’s innovation-driven economy and its commitment to fostering a dynamic environment for international investment.
As part of the visit, the delegation toured the MEXT Technology Center, one of Türkiye’s leading innovation hubs for Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies. The center plays a key role in accelerating digital transformation within the manufacturing sector through advanced technologies, collaboration initiatives, and talent development programmes.
During the tour, Invest Qatar signed a memorandum of understanding with ARI Teknokent, affiliated with Istanbul Technical University, to strengthen academic and entrepreneurial cooperation between Qatar and Türkiye. The agreement aims to support innovation ecosystems in both countries by encouraging partnerships between startups, facilitating knowledge exchange, promoting innovative technologies, and supporting their expansion into international markets.
Chief Investment Development Officer at Invest Qatar, Fahad Ali Al Kuwari, said the promotional tour reflects Qatar’s commitment to deepening economic cooperation with Türkiye and reinforcing its position as an attractive destination for foreign investment.
He noted that by expanding investment channels, fostering strategic partnerships, and enhancing its business-friendly environment, Qatar continues to strengthen its standing as a trusted hub for Turkish companies seeking access to regional and global markets.
Economic relations between Qatar and Türkiye continue to grow steadily, with more than 1,370 Turkish companies currently operating in Qatar, underscoring the confidence of Turkish investors in the country’s business environment and long-term economic prospects.
