Doha: HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met Tuesday in Doha with HE the Secretary of State for Defense of the United Kingdom, John Healey.
The meeting discussed bilateral cooperation between the two countries and ways to support and enhance it, particularly in the field of defense.
They also addressed developments in the military escalation in the region and its serious repercussions on regional and international security and stability, as well as ways to resolve all disputes through peaceful means.
The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed the need to stop the unjustified Iranian attacks on Qatar and countries of the region, warning against irresponsible targeting of vital infrastructure, especially those related to water, food, and energy facilities.
He also emphasized, during the meeting, the importance of strengthening coordination, intensifying joint efforts, returning to dialogue, and prioritizing reason and wisdom to contain the crisis in a way that ensures global energy security, freedom of navigation, environmental safety, and regional stability.
