Geneva: The State of Qatar participated on Saturday in the 64th Coordination Meeting of the Ministers of Labour of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states, held to enhance consultation and coordination on labour-related issues scheduled for discussion at international forums.
The State of Qatar was represented at the meeting by HE Minister of Labour Dr. Ali bin Samikh Al Marri.
The meeting was convened on the sidelines of the 114th Session of the International Labour Conference (ILC), currently taking place in Geneva, Switzerland, and reviewed agenda items under discussion during the conference.
The GCC labour ministers also discussed mechanisms for strengthening joint cooperation and explored ways to further advance collaboration among member states in the coming period, with a focus on aligning positions and promoting common interests in the labour sector at the regional and international levels.
