Beirut, Lebanon: A joint ministerial delegation from Qatar, the United Kingdom and France met on Thursday in Beirut with HE Minister of Social Affairs of the Lebanese Republic Haneen Sayed to discuss humanitarian developments and efforts to support conflict-affected communities across Lebanon.
The delegation included HE Dr Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad, Minister of State for International Cooperation of the State of Qatar; HE Baroness Chapman of Darlington, Minister of State for International Development and Africa of the United Kingdom; and HE Eleonore Caroit, Minister Delegate for Francophonie, International Partnerships and French Nationals Abroad, attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the latest developments in Lebanon and explored mechanisms to enhance partnership and coordination among international and national stakeholders to ensure the continued delivery of humanitarian assistance.
Discussions also focused on strengthening support for the populations most affected by the conflict, with particular emphasis on targeted humanitarian interventions aimed at addressing urgent needs and improving the wellbeing of vulnerable communities.
The meeting further addressed a number of issues of mutual interest, underscoring the importance of sustained international cooperation in responding to Lebanon’s humanitarian challenges and supporting ongoing relief efforts.
