Doha – Project Qatar 2025 opened Monday at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) under the theme “Innovation & Sustainability: Qatar’s Path to 2030,” bringing together more than 200 local and international companies.
The four-day exhibition features strong international participation, led by a delegation from the Government of the City of Buenos Aires. Argentina is taking part as the Country of Honour within the framework of Qatar’s Years of Culture initiative, alongside business delegations representing around 80 international companies from across the globe.
HE Hernan Lombardi, Minister of Economic Development of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires and head of the Argentine delegation, said Argentina’s participation includes a group of emerging technology companies seeking new opportunities for cooperation across multiple economic sectors. He noted that these initiatives are expected to further strengthen bilateral relations between Qatar and Argentina and deepen ties between their peoples.
On the international real estate front, Project Qatar is also hosting the Nile Property Expo, the leading overseas exhibition dedicated to Egyptian real estate investment. Now in its 15th edition, the expo is being held in Doha for the first time.
Haidar Mshaimesh, General Manager of IFP Qatar, the exhibition organizer, said the 21st edition of Project Qatar reflects a significant shift toward greater sectoral diversity. Emerging fields such as smart manufacturing, sustainable construction, and digital innovation are now at the forefront, underscoring Qatar’s drive to attract foreign investment and expertise in support of current and future development projects. He added that the exhibition seeks to strengthen partnerships between Qatari and international companies through strategic collaboration with global organizations, facilitating cross-border cooperation and joint ventures.
Mshaimesh highlighted that Project Qatar has evolved in line with changes in the construction industry and broader economic trends. While it initially focused mainly on construction and building materials, it has expanded over the past two decades to include advanced technologies, sustainable solutions, and smart manufacturing.
A key feature of this year’s edition is the dedicated Qatar Smart Manufacturing Exhibition, which showcases advanced Industry 4.0 technologies in support of the Qatar National Manufacturing Strategy 2024–2030. The initiative aims to localize manufacturing, enhance self-sufficiency, and attract global industrial partnerships.
Exhibitors are presenting innovations in automation, robotics, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, smart logistics, sustainable production systems, and digital industrial transformation, contributing to Qatar’s goal of strengthening its local manufacturing base in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
Aligned with the exhibition’s theme, Project Qatar 2025 also offers a comprehensive four-day conference program featuring more than 70 experts and speakers from the public and private sectors. The agenda includes keynote sessions, panel discussions, and workshops focused on innovation, sustainability, and future-ready industries.
