Doha: Lusail University celebrated the graduation of more than 900 students from its third graduating class during a ceremony held on Monday at the Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC), with Qataris accounting for 63 percent of the graduates.
The ceremony was attended by HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater, alongside several senior officials, members of the university’s academic and administrative bodies, and families of the graduates.
Speaking at the event, President of Lusail University Dr. Nizam Hindi emphasized that science and knowledge remain the foundation for the progress of societies and the development of nations, noting that the first message in Islam was a call to read and seek knowledge.
Dr. Hindi described graduation day as the culmination of years of perseverance, dedication, and hard work, adding that it marks not only the completion of an academic journey but also the beginning of a new chapter in which graduates contribute positively to their communities and translate knowledge into meaningful impact.
He said the university has, since its establishment, worked to make education at Lusail University a gateway to acquiring skills, broadening perspectives on global issues, and preparing students for the future, while reinforcing the values of discipline, responsibility, and teamwork.
Dr. Hindi also reaffirmed the university’s commitment to continuously developing its academic programs and enhancing the quality of its educational outcomes in line with evolving labor market demands and rapid global transformations.
He called on graduates to uphold ethics and responsibility and to use the knowledge and skills they gained to serve their countries and communities, stressing that the future is full of opportunities for those with determination and ambition.
