Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani visited the 35th edition of the Doha International Book Fair on Thursday morning at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center, reaffirming Qatar’s commitment to advancing culture, literature, and intellectual exchange.
During the tour, HH the Amir explored the “This is Qatar” book project, launched as the Guest of Honor initiative for this year’s exhibition. The project highlights Qatar’s cultural identity and creative achievements through a collection of distinguished publications and literary works.
His Highness also reviewed a wide range of new titles and publications presented by participating publishing houses from Qatar and across the Arab world and beyond, reflecting the exhibition’s growing international stature as a platform for cultural dialogue and knowledge sharing.
HH the Amir was briefed on the fair’s diverse cultural programs, interactive events, and knowledge-driven initiatives designed to promote reading and creativity among all age groups. He also visited the “Doha Children’s Zone,” where educational and interactive activities introduced young visitors to the world of literature and storytelling. During the visit, His Highness met with a number of aspiring young writers and encouraged youth engagement in cultural and literary fields.
The tour was attended by HE Chief of the Amiri Diwan Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi, HE Minister of Culture Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Thani, alongside several ministers and senior officials.
