Doha: Qatar’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education has concluded the National Scientific Research and Innovation Exhibition 2026 in cooperation with the Qatar Research, Development and Innovation (QRDI) Council. The 18th edition of the event was held at the Qatar National Convention Center in downtown Doha under the theme “Promising researchers for Qatar”. It brought together thousands of students and educators from schools across the country, highlighting growing interest in scientific research and innovation within Qatar’s education system. Ankara: The State of Qatar and the Republic of Turkiye have held the first round of political consultations between their foreign ministries in Ankara. The talks on Thursday were co-chaired by HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi and HE Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkiye Musa Kulaklikaya. Doha: The Police Academy represented by the Police Officers Institute has celebrated the graduation of its Senior Officers Course in a ceremony held at The Torch Hotel, attended by President of the Police Academy Major General Abdulrahman Majid Al Sulaiti, along with several officers. The three-week course brought together 22 colonels and included theoretical and practical lectures and programs to enhance leadership, administrative, security, and institutional capabilities and strengthen professional competence to meet modern policing requirements. Doha: The State of Qatar participated in the seventh ministerial session of the General Assembly of the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS), held on Thursday via videoconference. Doha: The curtains rose on the 35th edition of the Doha International Book Fair (DIBF) on Thursday, as the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) welcomed book lovers, publishers, and literary figures from across the globe for what organisers are calling the largest edition in the event’s 54-year history.
