Doha: A social protection center in Doha has launched a community awareness campaign aimed at protecting children from violence, in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.  The Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (Aman), part of the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, said the initiative targets parents and staff in public and private schools and kindergartens, including social and psychological specialists, to raise awareness about violence and bullying. Doha: Qatar’s Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) has concluded a training program aimed at qualifying volunteers in urban search and rescue, in cooperation with the Qatar Volunteer Center under the Ministry of Culture. The program was implemented as part of a memorandum of understanding between the two sides and was attended by HE Lekhwiya Deputy Commander, Staff Major General Mohammed Misfer Al Shahwani. Doha: More than 150 Texas A&M University at Qatar engineering students have earned their diplomas, marking a new generation of engineering leaders prepared to contribute to Qatar’s knowledge economy and communities around the world. The Class of 2026 includes graduates with bachelor’s degrees in chemical engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and petroleum engineering, as well as students who earned master’s degrees in chemical engineering. This year’s graduating class comprises 56 percent Qatari students and 45 percent female graduates. Overall, the class represents 22 nationalities. Among the 86 Qatari graduates, 59 percent are women.
