Doha: The Amiri Guard School celebrated the graduation of several specialized basic training courses during a ceremony held on Thursday at Lahsaniya Camp, marking the successful completion of the first phase of the 2026 training season.
The ceremony was attended by Lieutenant General (Pilot) Jassim bin Mohammed Al Mannai, Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces, alongside Major General Staff Mohammed bin Sultan Al Suwaidi, Commander of the Amiri Guard, in addition to senior military and security officials from the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) and the Amiri Guard.
The graduating programs included two joint foundational security and VIP protection courses, two foundational self-defense courses, a rapid intervention course, and a tactical first aid course dedicated to close protection personnel.
During the ceremony, Acting Commander of the Amiri Guard School, Captain Mohammed Khalfan Al Mansouri, highlighted the advanced training and qualification programs delivered throughout the courses. He emphasized that the curriculum was designed to strengthen operational capabilities, sharpen tactical skills, and elevate the readiness and professionalism of participants in handling high-risk security scenarios.
Graduates concluded the event with a live field demonstration showcasing the practical skills acquired during the training period. The exercises simulated a range of threat-response scenarios, including VIP protection operations, self-defense techniques, rapid intervention drills, and tactical first aid procedures for close protection missions, reflecting the combat preparedness and coordination abilities of the participants.
At the end of the ceremony, HE Chief of Staff Lieutenant General (Pilot) Jassim bin Mohammed Al Mannai honored the top-performing graduates in recognition of their outstanding performance throughout the training courses.
