The Qatari International Search and Rescue Group of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) has arrived in the friendly Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to join international search and rescue teams responding to the devastating earthquakes that struck the capital, Caracas.

The Qatari contingent comprises internationally certified Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) specialists equipped with advanced technical equipment for operations in collapsed buildings and the search for missing persons. The team also includes medical personnel and fully equipped field hospitals to provide emergency healthcare services to the injured.

Alongside the rescue deployment, Qatari humanitarian assistance has reached Venezuela as part of the State of Qatar’s ongoing air bridge to support relief efforts.

The shipment, provided by the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), includes food supplies, medicines, essential medical equipment and advanced shelter materials to help address the urgent humanitarian needs of those affected by the disaster.

The deployment reflects the State of Qatar’s continued commitment to supporting brotherly and friendly countries during humanitarian emergencies and reinforces its role in international efforts to deliver rapid disaster response, alleviate suffering and assist affected communities.
