Abu Dhabi, UAE: His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held talks with HH President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, focusing on recent regional and international developments and efforts being made to contain tensions and enhance security and stability in the region.

During today’s meeting in Abu Dhabi, the two leaders discussed ways to de-escalate amid rapidly evolving developments in the region, the ongoing Iranian attacks, and their security implications. They also examined the impact of recent events on global energy supplies and the stability of energy markets.

HH The Amir emphasized the importance of prioritizing diplomatic solutions to resolve conflicts, highlighting the need for strengthened cooperation to safeguard regional security and stability, and limit the repercussions of ongoing crises on the regional and international levels.

The talks also covered bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, with both sides stressing the importance of continued coordination and consultation across various issues, reflecting the strong fraternal ties and strategic partnership between the two brotherly nations.

The meeting was attended by HH Personal Representative of HH The Amir Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani; HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani; and HE Chief of the Amiri Diwan Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Khulaifi; along with a number of Their Excellencies senior officials.

On the Emirati side, attendees included HH Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al-Nahyan; HH Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al-Nahyan; HH Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, along with a number of Their Excellencies Sheikhs and senior officials.
