Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani expressed his admiration for the cultural diversity and intellectual richness showcased at the Doha International Book Fair (DIBF 2026) during his visit to the exhibition on Thursday at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center.
In a post shared on his official account on platform X, His Highness said he was pleased with the wide range of literary, cultural, and knowledge-based content presented across the exhibition halls, describing the event as a reflection of Qatar’s growing cultural landscape and commitment to intellectual development.
HH the Amir emphasized that the fair demonstrates the vital role of culture in strengthening awareness of the Arabic language and preserving national identity, while also promoting reading as a cornerstone for the advancement of nations and the progress of societies.
The Amir also praised the efforts of the organizers and participants for contributing to the success of the 35th edition of the exhibition, which continues to attract publishers, writers, and cultural institutions from around the world, reinforcing Doha’s position as a regional hub for culture, literature, and dialogue.
