Doha: The Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) concluded the first phase of its 2026 training program at Zekreet Camp in the presence of HE Lekhwiya Deputy Commander Staff Major General Mohammed Misfer Al Shahwani, alongside senior military and security officials from across the country.
The ceremony marked the graduation of nine specialized training courses organized by the Lekhwiya Training Institute, with the participation of 489 trainees representing military and security entities in Qatar, in addition to participants from several sisterly countries.
A joint final field exercise was held during the event, simulating multiple security threats and emergency scenarios aimed at strengthening operational readiness, coordination, and rapid response capabilities among participating forces.
The graduated programs covered a wide range of tactical and operational disciplines, including the foundational Lekhwiya Operations Course for officers, explosives handling, riot control for other ranks, urban combat operations, three foundational Lekhwiya Operations courses for other ranks, as well as motorcade skills, joint patrols, and motorcycle training courses.
The training plan forms part of Lekhwiya’s ongoing efforts to enhance the preparedness and efficiency of its personnel and supporting security entities, while keeping pace with evolving security challenges through advanced field and tactical training programs.
