Doha: Qatar’s Police Academy has hosted a seminar on institutional integration in crime prevention, bringing together representatives from the security, social, educational, and religious sectors to explore ways to strengthen community safety through coordinated national efforts.

Organized by the Academy’s Center for Security Research and Studies in cooperation with the Al Rayyan Security Department, the seminar focused on enhancing collaboration among state institutions to support crime prevention strategies, reinforce public security and promote social stability.

Participants presented six specialized research papers examining the complementary roles of government agencies, families, educational institutions, the media and religious organizations in raising public awareness, addressing the root causes of crime and fostering a culture of shared responsibility.

Speakers emphasized that effective crime prevention extends beyond law enforcement and requires sustained cooperation among security agencies, public institutions and the wider community. They stressed that integrated efforts are essential to building a safe, resilient and socially cohesive society.

The seminar concluded with recommendations to strengthen institutional partnerships, expand community awareness initiatives and develop coordinated preventive programs aimed at reinforcing public safety, social responsibility and long-term crime prevention across Qatar.
