Doha: The Qatar Media Corporation (QMC) and Media City Qatar signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Tuesday to strengthen cooperation in content creation, digital innovation, and talent development within Qatar’s growing media sector.
The agreement was signed by Director of the International Cooperation and Agreements Office at QMC Abdullah Ghanim Al Binali Al Muhannadi and CEO of Media City Qatar Hamad Omar Al Mannai.
Under the MoU, the two entities will collaborate on the co-production of television programs, feature films, documentaries, and cinematic content, creating new opportunities for growth and expansion for companies licensed by Media City Qatar.
The partnership also seeks to support the development of creative talent, enhance shared infrastructure, and expand practical training programs by leveraging the expertise of both institutions to empower students and early-career professionals.
As part of the agreement, QMC will join Media City Qatar’s integrated ecosystem, which includes content creators, service providers, technology companies, and distribution platforms. The move is expected to strengthen collaboration, encourage innovation, and further develop Qatar’s media landscape.
Abdullah Ghanim Al Binali Al Muhannadi said the cooperation with Media City Qatar opens new horizons for creative content and promising innovations. He noted that combining QMC’s extensive expertise in radio and television broadcasting with Media City Qatar’s creative capabilities and international network would enhance the quality and diversity of media content and better meet audience expectations.
For his part, Hamad Omar Al Mannai described the MoU as an important step toward deepening cooperation between two leading national media institutions. He said the partnership would help transform ideas into distinctive visual content by integrating Media City Qatar’s creative ecosystem with QMC’s longstanding media experience.
He added that the collaboration would support digital transformation efforts while investing in the next generation of media talent in Qatar.
