Beirut, Lebanon: A joint ministerial delegation from Qatar, the United Kingdom, and France visited several collective shelters in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, on Thursday to assess humanitarian conditions and identify the most pressing needs of displaced communities.

The delegation included HE Dr Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad, Minister of State for International Cooperation of the State of Qatar; HE Baroness Chapman of Darlington, Minister of State for International Development and Africa of the United Kingdom; and HE Eleonore Caroit, Minister Delegate for Francophonie, International Partnerships and French Nationals Abroad of the French Republic.

During the visit, the ministers received comprehensive briefings from humanitarian officials on the urgent medical, humanitarian and relief requirements of people residing in the shelters. The discussions focused on the challenges facing displaced families and the support needed to address their immediate and longer-term needs.

Speaking during the visit, HE Dr Al Misnad reaffirmed Qatar’s steadfast commitment to supporting the Lebanese people and responding to their humanitarian priorities.

She emphasized that the State of Qatar remains dedicated to delivering urgent assistance in a manner that safeguards the dignity of displaced persons and helps alleviate humanitarian suffering.

The visit comes as part of wider international efforts to evaluate conditions on the ground, strengthen coordination among partners, and mobilize support for communities affected by displacement and ongoing humanitarian challenges across Lebanon.
