Doha: Sneaker Con Doha has concluded its inaugural edition with a record-breaking turnout of more than 33,000 visitors, making it the largest event in the history of the globally renowned sneaker and streetwear franchise since its launch in 2009.

Held from May 29 to 31 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) as part of Visit Qatar’s Hala Summer campaign, the three-day event transformed more than 7,000 square metres into a vibrant marketplace and cultural destination for sneaker enthusiasts, collectors, and streetwear fans.

The event featured 60 vendors from around the world, showcasing rare sneakers, limited-edition releases, streetwear collections, and collectibles. Organizers reported sales exceeding QR1.2 million during the event, underscoring the strong demand for sneaker culture and lifestyle experiences in the region.

Visitors enjoyed a diverse programme of live entertainment, interactive activations, sporting competitions, panel discussions, and family-friendly experiences. On-site authentication services also provided buyers and collectors with trusted verification of products, enhancing confidence in transactions.

Ahmed Al Binali, Director of Festivals and Events at Visit Qatar, said the event exceeded expectations and set a new global attendance record for the franchise, highlighting Qatar’s growing reputation as a destination for major cultural and entertainment events.

The successful debut of Sneaker Con Doha further reinforces Qatar Calendar’s commitment to attracting world-class events and expanding the range of experiences available to residents and visitors, while positioning Doha as an emerging regional hub for contemporary fashion, youth culture, and global lifestyle trends.
