Cairo: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met on Sunday with HE Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Dr. Badr Abdelatty to discuss bilateral relations and key regional developments.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed cooperation between Qatar and Egypt and explored ways to further enhance and strengthen ties across various fields of mutual interest.
The discussions also focused on ongoing mediation efforts between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as the latest developments in Lebanon, the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories.
Both officials addressed coordination aimed at supporting diplomatic and mediation initiatives to reduce tensions and contribute to enhancing security and stability across the region.
Sheikh Mohammed emphasized the importance of all parties responding positively to ongoing mediation efforts, noting that such engagement would help pave the way for addressing the root causes of regional crises through dialogue and peaceful means.
He stressed that successful mediation could lead to a sustainable agreement capable of preventing renewed escalation and promoting long-term regional stability.
The meeting reflects the continued coordination between Qatar and Egypt on regional issues and their shared commitment to advancing diplomatic solutions to ongoing challenges in the Middle East.
