Doha: The 7th edition of the Qatar International Art Festival (QIAF) 2025 officially opened with a prestigious Red Carpet VIP ceremony at Katara Cultural Village. The opening was inaugurated by Prof. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, who attended as the festival’s Chief Guest. Hosted at Katara Halls, Building 12, the festival will run until December 12, offering six days of artistic excellence, cultural dialogue, and creative exchange.

Marking its most expansive edition to date, QIAF 2025 presents a diverse and immersive programme featuring 15 curated activities designed to inspire artists, engage audiences, and foster global connections. The schedule includes master classes, art workshops, panel discussions, art conferences, live painting sessions, artists’ fashion shows, cultural tours, networking dinners, and interactive forums—positioning the festival as one of the region’s most comprehensive international art platforms.

QIAF Art Auction in Collaboration with Al Bahie

One of the key highlights of this year’s festival is the highly anticipated QIAF Art Auction, organized in collaboration with Al Bahie Auction House. The auction is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, December 10 at 7:00 PM at Katara Halls, Building 12.

The event will bring together art collectors, connoisseurs, and enthusiasts for an evening showcasing exceptional artworks by internationally acclaimed and emerging artists participating in the festival. Guests can preview the curated auction catalogue via QR code, offering insight into a distinguished selection of contemporary works.

Fashion, Sustainability and Creative Expression

QIAF 2025 continues to explore the intersection of art, fashion, and sustainability through its signature runway showcases. Upcoming highlights include the Artistic Fashion Show and the Sustainable Fashion Show, along with master classes, networking dinners, award and felicitation ceremonies, and the art auction.

The fashion shows, scheduled for Thursday, December 11 from 6:30 PM onwards, will spotlight innovative designs that merge artistic expression with sustainable practices, reflecting the festival’s commitment to evolving creative disciplines and responsible design.
