Doha: Qatar University Press (QU Press) has launched a series of new academic and scientific publications, alongside recent editions of its peer-reviewed journals, during its participation in the 35th Doha International Book Fair (DIBF), held at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center through May 23.
The newly released titles reflect QU Press’s ongoing efforts to support scientific research, foster knowledge production, and enrich the Arabic library with original and specialized academic works across diverse disciplines.
Among the leading publications is a new book by Dr. Alanood Mubarak Ahmed Al-Thani, which serves as a comprehensive reference on scientific research methodologies. The book explores the philosophical foundations and ethics of scientific research, in addition to research tools, academic writing methods, and scientific presentation skills.
QU Press also introduced a publication by Professor Dr. Hassan Abdulrahim Al Buhashim Al Sayed examining the evolution of constitutional review in the State of Qatar, the jurisdiction of the Supreme Constitutional Court, and the legal dimensions related to its work.
Another featured release by Dr. Radwan Munisi presents an analytical and critical reading of the concept of coexistence in Islamic culture, addressing the topic from linguistic, philosophical, jurisprudential, media, and educational perspectives.
As part of its participation in the fair, QU Press is organizing a number of seminars to discuss several of its recent publications, including Education Policies in the State of Qatar: From Inception to the 2002 Education Development Initiative by Professor Dr. Hissa Mohammed Sadiq, and Artificial Intelligence in the Gulf: Challenges and Opportunities, translated by Professor Mohammed Fathi Ismail.
The press also launched International Treaty Law and Its Implementation in the State of Qatar by Dr. Faisal bin Misfer Al Hababi.
QU Press stated that it has published more than 100 peer-reviewed books to date, in addition to four academic journals: the International Journal of Law, the Journal of the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies, the Journal of Educational Sciences, and the Journal of Interdisciplinary Humanities and Social Sciences Studies.
The 35th Doha International Book Fair continues to reinforce its position as one of the region’s leading cultural events, bringing together 515 publishing houses from 36 Arab and foreign countries, along with numerous governmental and private institutions.
