Doha: The Qatar Boat Show 2025 came to a successful close, drawing more than 27,000 visitors over four days and marking a 25 % increase in participation compared with its inaugural edition, solidifying its reputation as one of the fastest-growing marine exhibitions in the region.
Held at the Old Doha Port, the event brought together 505 leading brands, 85 exhibitors and over 65 yachts from 25 countries, turning Qatar’s waterfront into a bustling hub of innovation, craftsmanship and maritime culture. More than half of the exhibitors were Qatari companies, highlighting the nation’s expanding capabilities in marine manufacturing, tourism and technological innovation.
The show attracted numerous VVIP and VIP guests, including senior government officials and dignitaries, underlining the event’s national importance and regional appeal.
A key highlight of this year’s edition was the establishment of strategic collaborations. Old Doha Port signed an agreement with JLS Yachts LLC to enhance coordinated yacht services through local agents and to boost international yacht arrivals. The port also partnered with Dubai Harbour, enabling reciprocal docking benefits for yacht owners including free berthing at Old Doha Port with advance booking and priority, discounted access at Dubai Harbour.
In addition, Qatar National Bank (QNB), in partnership with Visa, hosted a special ceremony during the closing day to award winners of its summer campaign promotions.
The event also served as a premier platform for leading international and regional marine brands, with over 20 % of exhibits making their first appearances in Qatar, signalling the country’s growing appeal as a launch destination for global yacht debuts.
Engineer Mohammed Abdulla Al Mulla, CEO of Old Doha Port and Chairman of the Qatar Boat Show Organising Committee, said the 2025 edition demonstrated Qatar’s leadership in the global marine industry and set the stage for an even more ambitious show next year.
